Nature in Futakuchi
Oriental odd-tooth snake （Squamata snake suborder Colubridae）
Seen all over Japan (only in some area of Hokkaido), in a variety of environments from the mountains to the plains. The nocturnal snake is often hidden between stones in the daytime so it is thought that their numbers are very few. However, we have seen them here in Futakuchi canyon.
