Nature in Futakuchi
Mountain hawk （Accipitriformes Accipitridae）
A large hawk with a wingspan of about 140 - 165 cm. They have long crests and often hunt in the forest eating hares and snakes. They are classified as a birds of prey, an apex of the ecosystem alongside the golden eagles in Futakuchi canyon.
